Members of LSFD, Lower Southampton Fire Marshall’s Office and volunteers with the American Red Cross conducted a successful Smoke Detector inspection and installation detail today at the Eastern Dawn Mobile Home development along Brownsville Road in the township. In four hours the teams knocked on 140 residents doors, making contact with 46 residents who allowed us in to inspect, test and replace their smoke and CO detectors. At the conclusion of this detail the teams installed 100 new, ten-year Kiddie smoke detectors which were supplied by the American Red Cross. We will schedule another detail for the remainder of that community at a later date. If you are in need of a smoke detector you may contact the Fire Marshals office at 215-357-7300 during business hours.
Remember Smoke Detectors Save Lives.
